Payment Terms
50% deposit is due upon acceptance of your quotation. This must be paid prior to the order being placed on your behalf. Once this initial portion has been paid, it becomes non-refundable owing to the chain of purchase required for your bespoke project.
40% is due on day 1 of the installation process and the remaining 10% becomes due upon completion.
Payment will be accepted by Bacs transfer, cheque, debit card or cash.
Consumer Complaints
Obviously, occasionally things can sometimes go wrong, no matter how hard we try. In the first instance we would request you contact us to inform us personally of any issues so we can initiate a plan of action to remedy
the problem.
If we have been given the opportunity to rectify a verbal complaint and you remain unsatisfied, we kindly ask that you make your formal complaint in writing to us at our business address.
We will always aim to work with you to achieve a fantastic outcome but occasionally there may be an irretrievable breakdown in the chain of communication. In the case that this occurs, and as an active member of The Dundee City Council Trusted Trader Scheme, we are bound by their consumer dispute resolution process. If we are unable to reach a mutually agreeable resolution then trading standards will provide an informal conciliation service.
They can be contacted on 01382 436260 or at trusted.trader@dundeecity.gov.uk.
Guarantees
We guarantee all of our work and that of our contractors for a period of 12 months starting from the first working date after installation.
Manafacturer’s guarantees apply to all furniture, fixtures, brassware and sanitary ware as indicated at purchase and are provided at the discretion of each and every independent supplier.
Invoice copies and orders will be kept on file in case an issue arises so that if a guarantee is still active we are able to generate the original purchase order to present to the supplier.
Please retain any information/installation brochures that are delivered with items at installation and keep them safe for future reference.
Photography
At survey, our designers like to take a range of relevant photographs of rooms, pipe works, water tanks and electric boards etc to serve as a visual reminder when preparing your 3D design and quotation.
As social networking is so prevalent now, we would like to inform you that for marketing purposes it is a great help to be able to show customers old and new, the standards we maintain and some of the innovative designs achievable.
Therefore, upon completion, we may request an appointment to take some after shots. If you do not grant us permission to use your photographs kindly make this known to your designer upon completion of your room/rooms.
Contractors/Site Visits
As your new room becomes reality, obviously you will be opening your home to our trusted team of contractors. They will, at all times act in a courteous and respectful manner. Respectful of your home and your belongings and also of your privacy. If you have any particular house rules you expect followed due to preference, religion or for any other reason not mentioned, please do not hesitate to let us know.
All contractors will attend to site wearing their McIntosh Company polo shirt on DAY ONE. This is so they will be easily recognisable to you and your family and you will also be able to familiarise yourselves with your team by clicking ‘Meet our Team’ tab on the Home page.
Your designer may also make unscheduled visits during the ‘strip out’ or installation process to keep abreast of progress and will occasionally, once a room has been stripped and prepared, an issue may be revealed that may have design implications and will need rectified swiftly.
